How fees work
Dental fees depend on your plan and on the tooth. Here is how paying works, in the order most patients ask.
Insurance we work with
We are in network with some PPO dental plans and out of network with others. We file claims for you either way. We are not enrolled with Medicaid or CHIP. Original Medicare does not cover routine dental care, and some Medicare Advantage plans do; ask us and your plan.

If you pay yourself
If you don't have insurance, you pay at the visit, and you know the fee before we start. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.
Pay at the visit
A written estimate first
Third-party financing, set by the lender
Receipts for reimbursement
After each visit you get an itemized statement. If we are out of network with your plan, you can send it to the plan to ask for reimbursement. The plan decides what it pays.
Itemized, every visit
Procedure codes on request
An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you are paying without insurance, we give you a written estimate in advance, when you schedule or whenever you ask. For a crown it lists the tooth, each step we expect and the fee for each.
Written, before treatment
Each step and its fee
Take it home before you decide
Checking your benefits
Katia checks your plan's benefits before your first visit and tells you what the plan says it pays. The plan makes the final decision when the claim comes in.

What the first visit includes
About an hour: a talk about what is wrong, an exam by Dr. Sorensen, X-rays only if she needs them and a written estimate before treatment. Fill in your health history on our private patient portal, not by email or in the contact form.
